Born Hewlett, Long Island, New York, USA.
Betsy is a graduate of the Ohio University School of Music.
As a songwriter, she's known for the song “Little by Little,” (co-written with Steve Dean), has been recorded by Karla Taylor, Randy Kohrs, The Stevens Sisters as well as The Thrasher Brothers, Ashley White, and Sarah Sigman. She's also known for writing the songs “I Just Wanna Dance!” by Heather Gilbert and “What Would You Write If You Wrote About Me?” (co-written with John Tirro), by Kenny Marks.
