Funk formation from Memphis, Tennessee, starting their career in the early 70's under the name Ebony Web with founding members Perry Michael Allen, Ray Griffin, Robert Thomas and Terry Royce Johnson. In the mid 70's they disbanded. With new members the group emerged again as Ebonee Webb and became successful in Africa, Canada and Japan. In the late 70's they made 2 albums which were released in Japan only. 3 of the original members went on to form the band Kilo. Finally in the early 80's Ebonee Webb made 2 acclaimed US boogie funk albums on Capitol.
