Mario Nardelli Sen. was born on the 20th of May 1927 in Dubrovnik. He was a famous Croatian composer, arranger and guitar player. He was engaged at the Dubrovnik National Theater. Since 1949 he lived in Zagreb where he was active as music editor and conductor at the Croatian Radio. For many years he was a guitar player and artistic director of the Vocal-instrumental group Dalmacija. He won numerous artistic awards for his lyrics at music festivals in the country and abroad. His son Mario Nardelli Jun. (1961, Zagreb) followed his father´s artistic steps as a guitar player and musician. Nardelli Sen. died on the 13th of July 1993 in Zagreb.
