Josef Abel (born March 22, 1929 in Deronje (now part of Odžaci), Yugoslavia (now Serbia)) is an Austrian composer and arranger in the field of brass music. He worked as a teacher.
Due to his German ancestry, he was forced to flee after the Second World War and came to Vorarlberg in 1945.
