Founded in 1987 Barbaro plays a most exciting folk-based rock in Hungary. Following early changes, the first line-up produced its highly praised first studio album in 1990. Nikola Parov left before releasing the second material in 1994. In 1999 the band went on hiatus, the lead singer Dzodzoglu Jorgosz left. Since 2004 -re-formed with new singer-guitarist Both Miklós- the band has again been active, releasing a third album in 2007.
