Swedish cellist, pedagogue, and conductor, born November 3, 1945 in Falköping.He has studied in Gothenburg, Rome and London and was a student of Mstislav Rostropovich. He is since 1987 professor of string interpretation at the Academy of Music at the University of Gothenburg. He is now a professor at the Cologne Academy of Music and plays in the Michelangelo String Quartet.
