Electronic/techno project from Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. Started in 1993 as a duo of John Golden (2) and Mike McClure under the name Auto K, later in 1993 changed to Auto Kinetic.

In 1998 David Jarosz (member of Mindphaseone trio together with John Golden and Mike McClure) joined the project, and Auto Kinetic became a trio, releasing "Static" album in 1999 (updating name to Autokinetic).

The trio split about late 2004.

Since 2018 Mike McClure reactivated Autokinetic a his solo project.
