Started in 1991 by Daniel Hinds and Vico, they began making electronic ethereal, rock, and gothic music. They released their first demo named Sublimation, which was followed by Complex, and finally Stolen. Between 1996 and 1998 they released songs on compilations including the cover of the "Dynasty" theme song for the TV Terror compilation on Reconstriction Records. They then started their own label Meatbelt Media and released their full-length The Soul Den in 1999.
