Paul Muldoon (b. 1951) is an Irish poet, Oxford Professor of Poetry (1999-2004), and the Howard G. B. Clark '21 Professor in the Humanities at Princeton University. Muldoon published over thirty collections and won a Pulitzer Prize for Poetry. The writer has contributed the librettos for four operas by Daron Hagen: 'Shining Brow' (1992), 'Vera of Las Vegas' (1996), 'Bandanna' (1998), and 'The Antient Concert' (2005), and has also written lyrics for The Handsome Family, Warren Zevon and Brian Kennedy.
