Malladi Chandrasekhara Sastry
Given name of Chandrasekhara Sastry, last name Malladi, was regarded as an expert scholar on Hindu Vedic texts and the 18 Puranic texts (Ashtaa dasa Puranas) that form the basis of Hinduism rituals, culture, ways of worship, procedures of religious duties, ablutions etc. Born into an orthodox Brahmin family of Amaravati in Andhra Pradesh (28 August 1925), he rose to prominence as the regular commentator on the annually recurring Divine Wedding of The presiding Deity of Bhadrachalam, in the then-Andhra Pradesh on All India Radio. He attained fame as the Principal of The very First Vedic School setup by The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams and set the syllabus, teaching procedures, conceptualized vedic school academics, examinations and used to be the regular main commentator during the annual Brahmotsavams (Temple annual festival extravaganza) on The Tirumala Hills. He was the first one to start the concept of religious discourses given to mass audiences on selected Hindu traditional, spiritual, cultural, and other related topics such as being humble, respect towards elders, importance of good habits.
