George Popovici known as Gepo by friends, wrote songs lyrics for the first time for Doina Badea, Cornel Constantiniu, Dan Spătaru.
Participated at the most important music festivals in the country, and for many years had a close cooperation with composers Virgil Popescu and Zsolt Kerestely.
Was married wit Teodora Marta and had 2 sons : Călin (born 1962), Dorin-Mugur (born 1968)
