French-Canadian Québécois singer-songwriter, painter and writer (born May 11, 1946 in Montréal, Quebec). One of the most significant representatives of the Québécois counterculture who started his career in the early 1970's with a blend of Chanson, Blues Rock, Folk Rock, and Psychedelic Rock. He released over 25 albums in his career and remains active today. His well-known albums "Le Vieux Show Son Sale" and "Pommes De Route" (a collaboration with Stephen Faulkner) garnered him notoriety and secured his position in the canon of Québécois culture and music.
