L.I.X. was created in 2004 as a one-man computer-based only project.
The very first track, simply called "Track 1" was a compilation of various sounds, both royalty free as well as sounds from major artists, and was therefor never officially released.
In the same year, the first official release saw the light of day: "Unfolded Sky", a dark tune on minor keys. This release already featured a very stripped remix of "One Six, Too", which came to release in 2005 and featured various remixes by artists all over the world.
The next to tracks, "Claw Funk" and "Area 59" where never released, though there have been several remixes produced. Though some of these versions appear on other releases and/or promotional discs.

A side project called "REmixed by L.I.X. -> RELIX" was created for remixes made by L.I.X., that have been officially confirmed by the original artists. Featured artists have been Favourite Consciousness, Katie Turner, Negathief, RAfBOy.

Due to lack of time all these projects paused in late 2006. In 2011 a remix-edition of "Unfolded Sky" which was already produced in 2008 has been released as well as two re-releases of the first two singles in 2016.

In 2018 the whole thing was reactivated, first starting with remixes for ID MM, Stratus & Battle Scream. In January 2019 L.I.X. produced its first vocal track "Lick My Wounds" after writing some lyrics and producing a minimalistic sound demo to fit those lyrics. This track is yet to be released.
