Swedish classical pianist and professor, born December 20, 1919 in Klara parish in Stockholm, died October 13, 2014 in Hägerstens parish in Stockholm.

She made her debut as a prodigy in Stockholm's Concert Hall in 1930 and had her big breakthrough ten years later. She had a successful career as a concert pianist with a special emphasis on the modern and late romantic repertoire. At the same time, she was a highly sought-after educator and as such worked at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm for several decades. She was named professor in 1966. Her students include Dag Achatz, Carl-Axel Dominique, Jan Eyron, Jacob Moscovicz, Mats Widlund, Matti Hirvonen and Tore Uppström.
