Martiny Lajos
Hungarian pianist and band leader, born June 11, 1912 in Budapest, died September 14, 1985 in the same city.
Played with the Blue Boys in Hungary, Denmark, and Germany 1932-1936, formed own group in Switzerland 1936-1939 and Hungary 1940-1944. Led the big band at Magyar Rádió in 1948-1949. Made many recordings as a leader from 1940 into the 1960s.
