American singer, guitarist, producer and record label/studio owner.Born c.1948 in New Jersey.
Billy Smith changed his surname to Arnell for the 45 release of "Tough Girl" as he thought it sounded more showbiz!
Billy started a record company (Fire Sign Records, Ltd., aka Fire Sign Records) and purchased a recording studio in New York (112 Greene Street Recording) with Steve Loeb.
