The Israeli piano duo Eden and Tamir was recognized worldwide as classical musicians and as music professors. They are credited with reviving interest in works of two pianos and piano duets.

Bracha Eden was born on 15 July 1928, in Jerusalem. Alexander Tamir was born as Alexander Wolkovsky on 2 April 1931, in Vilnius, Lithuania. They met while studying at the Rubin Academy where they would later be professors. Their debut as a performing duo was in Israel in 1954 and they performed and recorded worldwide throughout the rest of the 20th century and into the 21st. Bracha Eden died on May 23, 2006.
