Jim Stanton

Real name: James Hobart "Hobie" Stanton

Jim Stanton (b. April 4, 1919 d. July 15, 1989), Engineer/Producer from Johnson City, Tennessee, USA.

Stanton founded the Rich-R-Tone record label around 1946 and later started Champ Records (4) and Champ Studio. Between 1974 and 1976, he worked for United Music World in West Columbia, South Carolina, engineering several releases on the United Records (13) label. Jim returned to Tennessee in 1976 and resumed Champ Records (4).
