Real name: Thomas Mosie Lister

Mosie Lister (born September 8, 1921, Cochran, Georgia, USA – died February 12, 2015, Spring Hill, Tennessee, USA) was an American singer, songwriter and Baptist minister. In 1948 he was the original lead singer with The Statesmen Quartet. Shortly thereafter he retired and concentrated on songwriting. In 1953 he formed which later merged with Lillenas Publishing Company, Inc. in 1969. As of 2014 he had a catalog of over 700 songs.
