Alfred Strauss
Austrian-born schlager and operetta singer and singing teacher. Born February 7, 1894 in Vienna. He gave singing lessons to the stars of German silent cinema, including Willy Fritsch for his role in "Melodie des Herzens".
As a Jew, Strauss emigrated to the United States in 1939.
He died in Los Angeles on February 14, 1966.
