Formed in England 1977, Cardiacs originated in the group Cardiac Arrest, before entering the stage as Cardiacs in 1981. They began the label Alphabet to release their own material, after a couple of releases the label name was changed to The Alphabet Business Concern. They are best known for their unique style of music (termed "Pronk" by many) which contains elements of Progressive Rock, Punk, and Psychedelic Rock.
