"Zone was formed in autumn 1982 through a chance meeting between keyboard players Martin Hebert and Roberto Coriandoli. The friendship blossomed into a working relationship due to the guys' fascination with electronic sound. Guitarist Alan Pern joined Zone shortly after, adding a rock edge to the band's musical style. Vocalist Chantal Girard rounded out the group after becoming a member in 1983.

"Zone has performed extensively throughout Quebec, and finished fifth out of two hundred at the "Montreal L'Empire Day Future Stars II" competition which took place in Montreal in 1983."
