The World's Greatest Jazzband

Members: Al Klink, Vic Dickenson, Hank Jones, Bud Freeman, Gus Johnson, Bobby Rosengarden, Carl Fontana, Billy Butterfield, Johnny Mince, Peanuts Hucko, Nick Fatool, Bob Haggart, Bob Wilber, Nappy Lamare, Yank Lawson, Ralph Sutton (2), George Masso, Eddie Hubble

Founded in 1968 by Dick Gibson at his sixth annual Jazz Party, the group was co-led by Yank Lawson and Bob Haggart. Their repertoire consisted of standards and Dixieland versions of contemporary pop songs. They broke up in 1978 although the name has been used for reunions in later years.
