Real name: William Wesley Hemmans

American saxophonist, played with the Ike & Tina Turner Review, the Bobby "Blue" Bland Band, and was featured with B.B. King, Muddy Waters and many others, including The Dramatics Show Band. As a solo performer, Hemmans scored a hit in the late ’60s with his rendition of the jazz standard “Summertime.” Born: 1942, Died: June 14, 2011.
