De Marinierskapel der Koninklijke Marine (Marine Band of the Royal Netherlands Navy), based in Rotterdam, was founded in 1945 and is in fact the continuation of the pre-war Regimental Band of the Royal Netherlands Navy, founded by King Willem III in 1864.
