Biography
Chorgemeinschaft Neubeuern
Effective period / Period of releases: 1985
Founded by Enoch zu Guttenberg in a rural village in Bavaria in 1967. Within a few years they became an integral part of the Munich music scene. Many concerts and tours have proven their position as one of Germany's most distinguished oratorio choirs. Their style is influenced by the dichotomy of rural origins and uran and international exposure, combined with the folk music the community is involved in in smaller sub groups. Their concept is based on approaching great choral music from Bach to Stravinsky from a new and 'innocent' angle, adding a fresh note to long-standing conventional musical wisdom.
