David Robinson played drums on Tears Are Not Enough, Alphabet Soup and Surrender, before being replaced by David Palmer. He does not get a written performance credit but the lyric to Alphabet Soup states "Perfect rhythm is the sign of a true thoroughbred. Meet drum aristocrat, Mr. David Robinson. A sucker, a sucker for syncopation!". Part of this can be seen in the handwritten lyric on page 8 of the booklet, and his departure is mentioned on page 11.
