Nayan Jakobsen and Teit Voss form the Copenhagen based duo Acetate Caliphate. Their debut album explores the musical traditions and genres from a wide range of middle eastern countries, such as Lebanese New Wave and Iraqi disco dating to the 70s and 80s. Combined with the aesthetics of instrumental hip-hop, a powerful cinematic sound image is generated on the album's nine tracks. The primary focus is to support the middle eastern sound with heavy drums and deepfelt bass.Limited release of 30 items of which 15 are sold via Bandcamp.
