Originally, this was a solo project initiated by Ku Azri in 2020 during the first Movement Control Order (PKP) under the name INSECURE. In July 2022, Azri changed the project's name to aktadiri and released aktadiri first EP in August 2022. After releasing the EP, Azri invited Izzat from the band The Rags, to join as the bassist. Towards the end of 2022, Azri also invited Al Fayyed to fill the vacancy for the drummer. At the same time, Azri searched for a lead guitarist on a Facebook group, and Hilman expressed interest in filling the position as Aktadiri lead guitarist.
