Alice Namakelua's first album as an artist, at the age of 82. While she had written many songs throughout her life (at least 175 according to Jean Sullivan's liner notes), this was the first time she was brought in the studio to record her own compositions. Most of the songs are just Nakakelua singing and playing guitar or 'ukulele, while others feature accompaniment.

The album was initially sold during the holiday season of 1974 in conjunction with Love's Bakery on Oahu. If you were to go to one of their bakery outlets, you could purchase the album along with a loaf of bread or bread rolls. A brief message and the Love's logo was printed in red within the gatefold cover.
