After a six year hiatus, Skeleton Plague Records partnered with Dark Descent Records and reappeared at the beginning of 2016 with the re-release of the Dawn of Doom demo from Anguish. Now SPR is proud to present a release that has been years in the making – A Duet of Tragedy by Finland’s Among the Mortals.

A Duet of Tragedy was recorded in Finland in 1997, and at the time there wasn’t much interest, but the band slowly forged ahead. It was originally scheduled to be released by SPR before the label went on hiatus in 2010, but had to be canceled at the last minute. The demo is now presented here in its final, intended form on professionally printed cassette, with unaltered audio taken directly from the original masters. This first pressing is limited to 100 copies on white cassettes, and includes a sticker.
