In Nature is a collection of recordings I made in 2020 during the lockdown.
I spent a lot of time walking in woods and forests, the Japanese have a phrase for this - Shinrin Yoku (Forest Bathing) it is an accepted part of Japanese preventative health care because of the mental, physical and spiritual health benefits it delivers. It definitely helped my state mind. On my trips into the forest I often took an instrument with me and would sometimes find a nice spot to sit and spend some time improvising, this CD is a result of some of those times. All the pieces were recorded using a Zoom H2N portable recorder, there are no overdubs just an instrument and the local wildlife, it wasn't until listening back I heard a cuckoo on one recording and there is a very loud crow that took exception to the music on one of the pieces: Andy Bole
