Notes from Andy Falconer: "One thing I can share with you now, is that the back-catalogue is being prepared for vinyl releases, and this is not as straight forward as it may sound. First of all there is the format limitations. Where as the albums up to now have been made with no restrictions regarding running times, I now have to work within 22 minutes a side. So some tracks will be edited to fit, and some will be dropped only to appear as bonus tracks on digital versions. To give you an idea and just for you guys I've included a link to the new vinyl version of Polyhymnia.

Now there is a natural edit point in the original album, but unfortunately it didn't land anywhere near 22 minutes. So the first part of the record was going to need shortening, and the second part increasing, and that's what happened. However I didn't just fade out part 1 earlier to make it shorter, but rather "compressed" events to make it all happen in a shorter space in time. In end effect the process has made it a new version. It's similar for the B-side, and here there have been more unique parts added to extend it, rather than just stretching out what was already there. So again, a new version for all."
