The Anointed "Anointed" Pre-Release CD came packed with the in-store kicker display in advance of the album's street date release. The album contains an entirely different track list. The back cover confirms that it's not the final sequence of the album. Also, all of the tracks are described as unmastered rough mixes, making them all unique versions to their official counterparts. Some songs have obvious differences when compared to the final album versions, and some track lengths differ notably.

"Take It Easy" is spelled differently on the pre-release version of "Anointed." The final commercially available album version is spelled "Take It Eazy."

Track 1 contains a defect that caused the track to go silent right for a brief period before the normal cold ending to the song. This error is present on all copies of this pre-release CD.
