Thaikovsky's Fourth Symphony was recorded on June 12, 1960, in Wembly Town Hall and first released as SR90279, Northrop Auditorium in Minneapolis was the venue for recording Francesca da Rimini on December 22, 1958; this was first released on SR90201. The Overture from Prince Igor was recorded on June 6, 1959, in Walthamstow Town Hall and originally released on SR90265. All works were recorded on half-inch 3-track tape. Three Telefunken 201 microphones were used for the Fourth Symphony and Borodin Overture; for Francesca da Rimini, one 201 microphone and two M56 microphones were used.(P) Mercury
