This is described on the cover somewhat disingenuously as a collaborative album, when in fact it is a compilation. Five of the tracks (not one continuous side, as suggested by the liner notes) are taken from Mendes' 1965 album Bossa Nova York/The Swinger From Rio. The other six tracks are from second session with Caymmi and his son Dori. The Mendes tracks alternate with the Caymmi tracks.
