This reissue is nearly identical to both Quartet (2009) and Quartet (2013). The CD content is identical; the booklet has been redesigned, but the written and photographic content is identical apart from the updated date (2022) on Albert Michael's essay, and the addition of the image reproduced on the booklet's rear side.
As compared to both the original Bill Dixon 7-Tette / Archie Shepp And The New York Contemporary 5 and the BYG reissues of the '70s, these reissues follow the 2001 Atlantic CD Bill Dixon 7-Tette / Archie Shepp And The New York Contemporary 5 in reversing the song titles of 'The 12th December' (3:13) and the six-section suite 'Winter Song 1964' (14:41). One must assume this was a mistake at Savoy only corrected for the 2001 release, given the track times and subtitles.
