Toscanini Conducts Overtures by Arturo Toscanini, NBC Symphony Orchestra

Artists

Album Info

Release Date: 1964

Label: RCA Victor Red Seal

The recordings in this album - except for the studio-recorded "Siege of Corinth" - are taken from the historic Toscanini - NBC Symphony Orchestra radio broadcasts of the period November 14, 1943 to November 22, 1953.

These performances are of unique interest because they have never before been made available on records. They preserve the great conductor's interpretations of a number of works he did not record in studio sessions.
