Audiophysical is Andre Lamb, a New Zealand born multi instrumentalist, producer and visual artist. A vibrant scene in Wellington NZ, a city that soaked in Dub, Jazz and Afro-Psychedelica, exposed Lamb to vintage instruments and an array of open and talented musicians back in the early 2000s. Joining a 10-piece-band, the opportunity to perform and record became available and Lamb started to create his own samples and style of beat making constantly.

Lamb is a traveller - in time, space and mind, fusing genres like Blues, Jazz, Funk and Folk into a flawless combination of sounds taking the listener into uncharted territories, pouring himself into these musical vibes. Originally stumbling across deep cinematic beats, re-envisioned Jazz and Trip-Hop through his audio-visual film work in 2000, Lamb decided to dedicate some creative work to this genre. Lamb´s vision is one of cinematic beats and lush melodic instrumentation fused in a dusty analogue setting and this is what his 2nd longplayer Solaris Suite is reflecting exactly: Cinematic-Sound-Orchestra-Atmospheres. Lamb has a rare way of crafting special introspective moments into his music by creating a deep and moody feeling through his rich instrumentations.

With his beautiful arrangements and his prowess on the sequencer, as well as on various instruments, he always delivers music from the soul and mind. Lamb lives and works all over the globe. He moved to Europe in 2009 from New Zealand to Belgium, later to Spain and then to Berlin, spends some time in Vancouver whenever he can and is always a little bit here and there… acquiring new tools, connecting with musicians for cooperations and inspiration and recording sessions or overdubs to continue working away at his music. A mix of beats produced while travelling followed by studio time: This is what fuels Audiophysical´s material.
