El Peritoneo

Schottish > Chotis, is a popular dance style typical from Madrid:

Chotis is a musical and dance style, fasten and slow, originating in Bohemia. Its name derives from the German term Schottisch ("Scottish"), a Central European social dance to which in Vienna they wanted to attribute origin to a Scottish dance. It became fashionable in almost all of Europe during the 19th century and also spread to America.

The chotis arrived in Madrid in 1850 and it has been reported that was danced for the first time in the Royal Palace, on the night of November 3, 1850, under the name 'German Polka'. It later became popular and a quintessential traditional dance of the people of Madrid.
