At the time of this release (1967), Barbara Castle was Minister Of Transport in UK where she introduced "Clearway's" to speed up traffic flow. At first, the distance these Clearway's were placed were quite short (often only a couple of miles), but as time went by they would be extended and joined together to give quite long stretches of road.
