Album Info

Release Date: 2018-01-17

Label: Haymaker Records

The troubled "Freedom Palace" LP was recorded in the summer of 2006 by Paul Malinowski and Brodie Rush in Kansas City, Missouri. Anodyne Records commissioned Be/Non to re-record songs from Be/Non - RAN and Be/Non - Esperanto At The Pantheon, Incognito along with other unreleased material. Be/Non was performing as a 5-piece group before recording negotiations began in 2006. The album "Freedom Palace" was never pressed or released. Because a contractual arrangement could not be agreed upon between Anodyne Records and Be/Non, the band would not see an album released until 2009 Be/Non - A Mountain Of Yeses. In 2014, John Hulston of Anodyne Records graciously gave Brodie Rush full rights to the "Freedom Palace" recordings and masters, breathing in new life.

In 2018, Be/Non and Haymaker Records presented the final mix of "Freedom Palace" the way it was originally intended. This release bridges the gap between the long absence of recordings from Be/Non between 1998 and 2009, a time capsule of compositions, energy and productions that never saw the light of day and included new artwork and updated packaging.
