A rare vinyl live recording taken straight off the mixing desk at our gig in Berlin.
It had a limited unofficial release in 2003, although it came out on ‘Go Beat’ [the same record label that released ‘Out of Season’] and was a recording we were well aware of and had approved to be pressed, so I’m not sure how ‘unofficial’ that makes it.
This record has most of the tunes from our studio album and also a version of the Lou Reed song ‘Candy Says’.
I’d always fancied recording a LP in the soaked up unique atmosphere of this fabulous city, so unofficial or not, I still count ‘Acoustic Sunlight’ as being the desired made-in-Berlin record that I was happy to cross off my bucket list."
