Description:
Black Sabbath were the ultimate live band. This powerful anthology brings together the very best of the concert performances featuring the legendary Black Sabbath line-up of Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler, Bill Ward and Tommy Iommi. These remarkable performances were broadcast live to air in the halcyon days of Black Sabbath between 1970 and 1975.
First up is a brilliant show from Asbury Park on 5th August 1975 with Sabbath on peak form.
Disc two then takes us back to the beginning with the show from 20th December 1970 when the band were hard at work building their career. It features a stunning version of Black Sabbath along with rare gems such as Fairies Wear Boots, Rat Salad and Hand of Doom.
Disc 3 is the famous radio broadcast from the Ontario Speedway 1974. This KLOS-FM Stereo broadcast featured Black Sabbath in concert from 6th April 1974, Black Sabbath's performance at the California Jam Festival, an event which has gone down in rock legend, is widely considered to be their best ever live concert broadcast. This legendary gig was simulcast and televised live by ABC-TV in prime time and featured an extensive re-working of Sabbra Cadabra from the band's, then most recent, album Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and a rare performance of the unreleased live only track Sometimes I'm Happy.
This powerful four disc set is completed by a rare TV broadcast from Santa Monica Civic Centre from September 1975 which this hard working band performed just a few weeks after the Asbury Park show.
