Album Info

Release Date: 1986

Label: Not On Label

Information copied from Bob's Boots:

In 1986 while TMQ was pressing the striptease box set, they decided to experiment with splatter vinyl. This beautiful piece proves that they could do it as good as anyone. However, to my knowledge the splatter LPs were never released with any set. This set came with either a 1/3 page pink insert with title and photo for front song list for back or a front insert with information. The discs bear the original TMOQ labels and/or the Screaming Oiseau label (not used until the mid 80's).

This piece was pressed with the same plates as Striptease.

The first disc of this set was recorded during the Newport Folk Festival 1965. This is the first time that Bob Dylan played on electric guitar with a back up band in front of an audience. This show also includes the debut performance of "Like A Rolling Stone." "To Ramona" was actually recorded years later but was added both because there was room and because Jerry Garcia guests on lead guitar.
