Bob Dylan - A Rare Batch Of Little White Wonder (3 LP's) Box-Set

Vol. 1

A2 is actually a trad. song, "Grasshoppers In My Pillow", first recorded by Leadbelly, sung here by Dylan with a last verse including a couple of additional lines
A3 attributed to Morgan-Fields [shoud be Morganfield (McKinley Morganfield AKA Muddy Waters)], but it is actually by Big Joe Williams
A4 is a trad. song arranged by Bob Dylan with (might be) some lyrics variation
B1 is a Rev. Gary Davis arr. of a trad. song
B3, The Death Of Emmett Till. is not a Gordon Lightfoot song, but Dylan's lyrics set to a tune that he confessed was borrowed from Len Chandler.
B4 is also frequently attributed to Alan Lomax, but here is credited to Ian Tyson and Sylvia Fricker (from Ian and Sylvia duet)
B5 is mislabeled Farewell Angelina, but it's actually another Dylan song titled "Farewell"

Vol. 2

C1 attributed to Bob Dylan is actually a song first recorded by Memphis Jug Band in a recording session which took place on September 15, 1928, in Memphis, Tennessee, and was made popular later by Mississippi John Hurt. It has been frequently attributed to American blues musician Gus Cannon, though it might have predated him.
C3 is a trad. spiritual first published in New Jubilee Songs as sung by the Fisk Jubilee Singers (1901). It is associated with the songs of the Underground Railroad.
C4 "That's All Right Mama" is a song written and originally performed by blues singer Arthur Crudup, recorded in 1946. It is best known as the debut single recorded and released by Elvis Presley, also recorded by Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash and Grateful Dead.
D1 is an Eric Von Schmidt arr. of a trad. song, though made popular through its appearance on Bob Dylan's debut album Bob Dylan.
D2 "U.D. Blues" (actual name is "V.D. Blues"). This might be really Woodie Guthrie's song "V.D. Blues," which chronicles a man's feelings after contracting venereal disease. Guthrie wrote several songs promoting the awareness and prevention of this STD, and Dylan recorded demos of many of them, though this one comes from The Minnesota Hotel Tape, reorded in December 22, 1961 at Bonnie Beecher's place.
D4 written in the back cover and label as "If I Could Dolt All Over", it should be "If I Could Do It All Over" thought actual title of the song, as per Witmark Demos, is "All Over You".
D5 is a Rev. Gary Davis arr. of a trad. roadsong

Vol. 3

Most tracks are mistitled and mispositioned here. For example E-Side track 3 written on back cover as "Lady Down Your Weart Tune" is actually called "Lay Down Your Weary Tune" and is not on position E3 but on F3. E5 "It's All Over Now" and F5 "Baby Blue" are indeed two other different songs badly mistitled after the famous tune called "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue" which is positioned on F4.

Actual tracklist for this volume goes like this:

E1 Sitting on a Barbed-Wire Fence (Killing Me Alive)
E2 If You Gotta Go, Go Now
E3 She Belongs To Me
E4 Love Minus Zero / No Limit
E5 Dusty Old Fairgrounds
F1 Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window
F2 From A Buick 6
F3 Lay Down Your Weary Tune
F4 It's All Over Now, Baby Blue
F5 It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry

Note that this Box-set issue of the 3 International Joker Production LP's is different than any other already in the database, though it comes from the same master, discs have the same catalog numbers and it comes with the same mistaken info on labels and cover.
