Tracks 1 thru 13 were recorded by Bola at his home studio in Marin County, California, between 1986 and 1987. Tracks 14 and 15 were recorded live at The Boarding House in San Francisco, September 1971.

All songs were played on a Ramirez classical guitar, in Standard Tuning, except Dragon's Lament, Windspell, Gypsy Fingers, Balança da Garotinha, Sertaneja and You Make My Heart Sing, where the lowest pitched string is tuned two half steps down to D.
