Recorded in Japan in May 1998, "the debut of Julliard School composer/improvising pianist, Bruce Stark whose influences range from the most respected J. S. Bach to Debussy and K. Jarrett. Although Stark climbed the academic ladder, his music does not have the cold, lifeless aspects that much of today's contemporary music is characterized with. Stark's is a warm, engaging music which will transport the listener to another time and a distant space.
