Album Info

Release Date: 1952

Label: Fredlo

"Wind" / "Keeper Of My Heart" was one of the first commercial releases from the Fredlo label, first advertised as being available in May 1952. A test pressing of this release, made on an aluminum-base acetate blank, also exists and is pictured along with the images above.

Musicians on this recording were Alger "Curly" Bray, Floyd "Speed" Foreman, Pat Maynard, and Johnny Wilhelm.

The only known commercially-available Fredlo release to precede this single was one that was advertised in local newspapers as being available "at leading local record dealers" in February 1952. The titles were "Dreamer With A Penny" and "Love, Mystery, And Adventure" performed by organist Bill Ingogly. Acetates exist that predate Fredlo's first shellac and vinyl pressings. Many of those early acetates were made on behalf of local dance studios for rehearsal purposes.
