It is unknown what noise reduction was used, but I assume Dolby B NR was used, since this cassette appears to be distributed by MCA. The misprint might be attributed to MCA taking over distribution of Interscope Records releases in 1996, with the J-Card being made in advance, when Atlantic was still the distributor of Interscope Records, as they were still using Dolby S NR at the time.
